MEDIA STATEMENT - Choice 

22 November 2019: InvoCare is aware of matters raised on Choice.com.au regarding InvoCare’s policy of waiving the administration fee for on-time payment.

InvoCare takes all matters regarding pricing transparency and fairness seriously and as Australia’s leading funeral home operator aims to uphold the highest standards at all times. 

We are fully aware of the vulnerability of the families who come into our care. We have made this clear to Choice.com.au with whom we have worked closely with over the past few months on their review of the funeral industry. We were very transparent with Choice.com.au regarding this fee and made it clear it is waived if the account is paid within the 21-day payment term.

We made it clear to Choice.com.au that the administration fee is discussed with the families at the time of the funeral arrangement and identified and clearly explained in the Funeral Services Agreement provided to the family and again shown on the final invoice. The invoice also shows the amount payable if it is paid within 21 days.

InvoCare’s policy is to refund any administration fee that may have been inadvertently paid.

InvoCare strongly rejects any suggestion it seeks to take advantage of grieving families through these payment terms.
