InvoCare is an Australian company. It is a leader in the Australian funeral industry and has a current turnover of approximately $250 million a year.
As industry leader, InvoCare sets new service standards, has lifted capital investment, adopted new management techniques, initiated training programs to raise professional standards and continued to introduce better ways to service its customers. InvoCare currently operates some 180 funeral locations and 12 cemeteries and crematoria, all in competitive markets throughout Australia. It conducts 30 000 funerals a year, more than 20% of Australia’s total of around 140, 000. Of the 44, 000 burials and cremations conducted in the markets its cemeteries and crematoria operate, it services 45%. InvoCare employs some 1100 people in 142 city and regional locations. Quality of care is essential in the funeral industry. Most people find a funeral provider by seeking a referral from another person. In the funeral industry, quality of service is a strong determinant of business success. InvoCare makes a significant investment each year on research to survey the changing needs of the consumers and families it serves. Additionally investment is made in the latest technology such as new cremators offering advanced environmental standards and computer systems for enhanced customer service.
